Red Carpet Remodeling has set forth below a set of steps during the process to what our clients can thoughtfully anticipate. These phases will be followed closely in order to establish a level of expectation and superior performance for the homeowners and ourselves. Click on the items below for a detailed description.
PHASE 1: PRE-INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

- You will receive a phone call from your Scheduling Manager, Michelle Rhoads, to set an appointment for a re-measure with Bryan Bombard, your Project Supervisor, to review every detail of your door project
- This includes; precise measurements of existing trim, jamb and sill depth, what product/model number, clarify the exact specifications; styles, color, grids, glass package, screens, etc. He will fully understand your special instructions, needs, requests, and expectations
- Inspect new door to make sure it is not damaged and matches what is on the agreement
- Prepare work area for demo and installation to protect your belongings
- Drop clothes are placed inside your home and shoe covers are worn to assure cleanliness
- Existing door and door accessories are loaded onto our truck and disposed of offsite
- Existing trim, sill, brick mold, and door jamb are removed
- Your technician checks levelness of opening to see if door will need to be built up or shimmed
- Test for lead – pre-78’ homes - following the stringent guidelines of the EPA
- Clear opening for new product
- Secure and set window CUSTOM-MADE DOOR SYSTEM for a square installation
- Your technician will shim behind the hinges and fasten the door into the opening on the non-hinge side
- Schlage hardware on new door adjusted and installed
- Install catch plates on new jambs
- Interior Caulk by DAP
- Expandable Spray Foam by DAP
- Exterior Caulk by DAP
- Interior trim piece installed for aesthetic value between your door and existing flooring
- Technician prepares and then wraps exterior coverage to finish your door system
PHASE 4: POST-INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

- All work related debris will be “broom clean” before your project is finished
- Post inspection approval – you will be asked to inspect the work we have completed on your home. Our craftsmanship must be approved prior to your sign off of the completion certificate
