Installation Procedures

Red Carpet Remodeling has set forth below a set of steps during the process to what our clients can thoughtfully anticipate. These phases will be followed closely in order to establish a level of expectation and superior performance for the homeowners and ourselves. Click on the items below for a detailed description.

PHASE 1: PRE-INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

–

You will receive a phone call from your Scheduling Manager, Michelle Rhoads, to set an appointment for a re-measure with Bryan Bombard, your Project Supervisor, to review every detail of your window project
This includes; precise measurements, what product/model number, clarify the exact specifications; styles, color, grids, glass package, screens, etc. He will fully understand your special instructions, needs, requests, and expectations

PHASE 2: PREPARATION

–

Drop cloths placed inside your home and shoe covers are worn to assure cleanliness
All furniture and paintings need to be removed to protect your belongings
Remove their curtains or drapery and back the furniture 2’ from the windows
Test for lead – pre-78’ homes - following the stringent guidelines of the EPA
Storm windows are removed

PHASE 3: installation

–

Remove existing window stops
Clear opening for new product
Secure and set window CUSTOM-MADE WINDOW for a square installation
Adjust jamb screws and install 3 ½” galvanized, carpenter screws
- Interior Caulk by DAP
- Expandable Spray Foam by DAP
- Exterior Caulk by DAP
Technician prepares and then wraps custom architectural trim

PHASE 4: POST-INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

–

All work related debris will be “broom clean” before your project is finished
Post inspection approval – you will be asked to inspect the work we have completed on your home. Our craftsmanship must be approved prior to your sign off of the completion certificate

Style Options

double hung

Both windows have the ability to open, rather than just the bottom sash. Plus, the sash can be opened at a tilt.

slider

A window with a movable panel that slides horizontally. The sashes operate by sliding along a track in the window frame.

picture

Stationary, provides natural light.

casement

Hinged on the side and opens outward to the left or the right.

bay & bow

Project outward from a home and offered in a variety of styles & operational options.

material Options

wood

An attractive choice but prone to rot and will likely need repainting.

aluminium

A sturdy, resilient and maintenance-free option however, aluminum has poor insulation capabilities.

fiberglass

Very strong but few color options offered. There are models available that are essentially wood windows clad with fiberglass.

fibrex

Combines the insulation and durability properties of wood and the minimal maintenance of vinyl.

vinyl

Project outward from a home and offered in a variety of styles & operational options.
